The Waldecker Land - Highlights
The Waldecker Land is characterized by its location on the border between two different landscapes - namely that of the Westerwald in the south and east with its rolling hills and that of the Hessian low mountain range in the north. This diverse landscape offers many opportunities for recreation or work in agriculture and forestry.

Lake Edersee near Herzhausen
This place has a very nice view of the lake and is not too far from Herzhausen. Here you can enjoy nature without having to go too far from the road.
Stone sculptures
We are a small company specializing in hand carved stone sculptures. Our pieces are made with the utmost care and attention to detail, so they are sure to be an eye-catcher in any room or garden.
Lake Edersee dam
The Ederseestaumauer is an impressive sight in the Waldecker Land region. It is a popular destination with bike paths that are perfect for exploring and enjoying the landscape. You can also take a boat tour or rent some bikes in Scheid to get there and back.
Peter's Head
Peterskopf is the highest mountain in the Waldecker Land region. It also hosts one of the most beautiful views in Germany, with a 360-degree panoramic view from its summit. On a clear day, you can see as far as Thuringia and Hesse!
Knotty rich path
Knorreichensteig is the perfect place to explore nature and enjoy the fresh air. It's a great way to get away from it all, with plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities in a pristine natural setting. The landscape here is rustic and inspiring - sure-footed, sturdy footwear is a must!
Bottom sluice in the Eder
The Sohlgleite in the Eder - sighting in the Waldecker Land is an excellent place for hiking, biking and swimming. It is also perfect for people who just want to relax on a sunny day. You can enjoy the rapids or take a walk through the forest. There are many things to do here!
