Winery with a view into the Rhine Valley
Two pitches on a meadow in front of a wine estate near Bosenheim, right in the open countryside. Views stretch across the Rhine Valley and the Bosenberg, and in the evening the sun bathes the vines in colour. Electricity, fresh water and a toilet are available at the farm — otherwise you'll find little — space for two campers, three nights maximum. If you'd like, you can taste wine from the estate itself and learn how a vintner's year unfolds. Walking paths start right behind the field, and it's around 27 kilometres to Mainz. Evenings: vineyards and silence.1

Sights in the area1
Mainz
The state capital sits about 27 kilometres away, with its cathedral, old town and the Rhine promenade by the water. The trip for a rainy day or a long stroll.
Rheinstein Castle
High above the Rhine near Bingen stands the castle rebuilt in the 19th century; from the keep the view runs far down the valley. Worth the detour to the river.
Silbersee
A former gravel lake in Rheinhessen for swimming and lounging, set among vineyards and fields. The go-to spot for hot summer days.
