A lookout near St. Julian where the Glan valley opens up wide. The detour for clear days, when the hills stack up to the horizon.

A hilltop with old rampart remains in the Northern Palatinate uplands, a short walk up. Long views and quiet at the top, a goal for walkers.
Saarbrücken
The nearest larger city, about 37 km away. With its old town and the Saar riverbank, the city day when the farm gets too quiet.
