The Vogtland is located in the border region of Saxony, Thuringia, Bavaria and the Czech Republic, where foothills of the Erzgebirge and Fichtelgebirge mountains meet. The Weiße Elster river flows through hilly upland landscape with forests, meadows and reservoirs. Around Markneukirchen, the manufacture of musical instruments has been at home for centuries. Hiking and cycling trails lead through quiet forests, and in winter skiing is enjoyed on the higher elevations.

👹 Höllental

The Höllental is one of the most beautiful valleys in the Vogtland. It is easy to hike and also has great mountain bike trails. You can explore it with your family or friends or just enjoy some time alone. Along the way there are many places for a picnic, so pack a lunch!

Bleiloch dam

The Bleilochtalsperre is a sight in the Vogtland region that offers visitors the opportunity to explore nature and enjoy some peace and quiet. But not only tourists, also locals come here to fish, swim or just relax.

Castle Burgk

We offer guided tours of our historic castle and museum with exhibitions on art, history and culture. There is also an adventure playground for children, which is a lot of fun. And if you want to stay in one of our stylish rooms or suites, we have that too!

🦌 Hirschsprung

The Hirschsprung is a steep rocky outcrop on the right slope of the Höllental, below the "King David" lookout point. At the top of the Diabasturm is a viewing platform with views over the Vogtland region and as far as Saxony-Anhalt. It is perfect for hiking, picnicking or just relaxing in nature.

Zieme Valley Bridge

The Ziemestal Bridge is one of the most famous bridges in Germany. It was built between 1879 and 1881 and is still in use today. This historical landmark is located in the Vogtland region of Saxony, which has been known for its natural beauty since ancient times.

Wysburg

The Vogtland is the perfect destination for anyone who wants to explore the natural beauty of Germany. With its diverse landscape, you'll find everything from forests and rivers to lakes and mountains. And Wysburg Castle is one of the most beautiful castles in all of Germany! It has been reconstructed with great attention to detail, making it like an insider's tip that only locals know about.
