The Eifel - Highlights
The Eifel is a medium-altitude mountain range in Rhineland-Palatinate and North Rhine-Westphalia, extending westward into Belgium and Luxembourg. Its landscape of wooded heights, open plateaus and deeply cut river valleys is shaped in many places by extinct volcanism, visible in the round maars of the Volcanic Eifel. Large areas are protected, including Nationalpark Eifel. Hiking and cycling trails, dark starry skies and clear lakes make the region a peaceful natural space.

Waterfall three mills
The Eifel is a region in Germany, and it is home to one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Europe. It is called Dreimühlen-Sight. You can find this waterfall just outside Bonn on the way to Cologne. This place is breathtaking!

It is located near the town of Daun, in Germany. This rock was formed from boulders and sand during the Triassic period of the Buntsandstein, about 220 million years ago. The rocks are part of a mountain range that stretches across Europe and is called the Rhenish Massif or Eifel.
Wolf Gorge
Wolfsschlucht is a gorge with steep rock walls and waterfalls. It is one of the most beautiful natural wonders of Germany and is only an hour away from Cologne. You should definitely go there during the week, on weekends it's pretty crowded. But it's worth it!

Wolfsschlucht is a beautiful and quiet place to explore. It is one of the most popular destinations in the Eifel, with its waterfall, wooden bridges and stairs. You can also have a picnic here or relax on the benches overlooking the valley below.
Lake Urft near Einruhr
Lake Urftsee is one of the most beautiful lakes in Germany. The water is crystal clear and there are many different species of fish that live here. You can also go fishing or rent a rowboat for an hour to explore the lake on your own!
Mondorf ferry
The Eifel is a region in Germany that offers many different types of landscapes. From the high mountains to the low valleys, there is a lot to see and do for people who love nature.
