The region around the Harz invites you to take walks with its striking Teufelsmauer and the Großvater viewpoint, and with the Brockenbahn you can experience an atmospheric ride through the mountainous landscape. You can reach Salzgitter in about 11 kilometers, where a view from the Bismarckturm or a walk on the western shore of Salzgittersee is worthwhile.
