Yet Faulebutter, with its nine inhabitants, is not even a village in its own right, but just one of many settlements in the Sauerland-Rothaargebirge Nature Park, which extends over some 500 thousand hectares of mountain landscape above the Giessen Valley near Cologne (Germany). And yet there is always something going on during the day: motorcyclists like to take a break in our beer garden, hikers rely on us when they tackle the popular long-distance hiking trail "Sauerland Höhenflug".¹
