The Weideblick campsite is located on the edge of a dairy farm in Remptendorf, in the middle of the forest in the Thüringer Schiefergebirge nature reserve, with tall spruces rising directly behind the fence. The farm shop stocks homemade dairy products from the farm's 100 cattle, chickens and pigs. From here you can hike to Schloss Burgk or to the Bleilochtalsperre and the Saale, and Festung Rosenberg is also worth a visit. It's around 42 kilometres to Jena with the Jenzig.¹
