A parking spot on the Werra riverbank near Philippsthal, where the inner-German border ran until over thirty years ago. The Werra cycle path and Green Band trail run along the property, and a small staircase in the bank leads down to the water. At night, nightingales sing. Along with frogs. Ticks and mosquitoes are part of the experience, and on weekday mornings you can hear traffic from the federal highway on the other side of the river. The hosts' black tomcat will probably drop by.
