Cars are the most popular form of transportation in North America. I'm a big fan of them and think they're better than any other form of transportation, but there is one downside to driving: Finding parking downtown can be a frustrating, time-consuming chore! Driving has been the standard for travel since they were invented over 100 years ago because it's just as fast, if not faster, than public transportation like trains or buses if you only have two stops on your destination list. But nowadays, with so many people living in big cities who need to get around quickly without making an expensive monthly car payment, more and more people are opting for alternative forms like bikes and scooters that offer freedom from congestion while costing less money¹
